In our continuous improvement, we have improved the Aalberts integrated piping systems Americas Foundry operations with a decrease of scrap rate by 3.0% over the past year This decreased rate ultimately leads to decreased utility usage to melt scrap material internally, thus decreased our GHG emission and Carbon Footprint from the facility and decreased transport mileage required for transport of scrap material, thus decreased GHG emission and Carbon Footprint associated with the facility. Steel Foundry operations utilized a different disposal site for site generated waste. This change lead to almost a 5 ton decrease of GHG (CO2 equivalent) being emitted into the atmosphere due to our proces.
